Comfortable holiday house, quietly situated amidst nature, in an ideal location for cycling and hiking

The house of around 80m² provides a kitchen on the ground floor with all the necessary appliances for self-catering, such as a stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, a toaster, kettle, microwave and coffee machine. There is also a living room with comfortable armchairs and a TV. Big glass doors lead out directly onto the terrace. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, each with two single beds (90 x 200cm). One of the bedrooms has an adjoining bathroom with a shower and toilet. There is a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet on the ground floor. There is wireless Internet access, so you are accessible on holiday.

This holiday house is somewhat set apart from the main house, concealed behind trees, with a terrace shielded by a dense hedge. The property is nestled into a landscape with meadows and forests and affords a fantastic view of the nearby mountains. Here, at the foot of the Pyrenees, to the south-west of Carcassonne, in the inland area of the western Languedoc-Roussillon region, you can find ideal conditions for a holiday as a family or as a couple, if you would like to spend a quiet holiday amidst nature.

The surroundings offer a range of worthwhile trips to suit all taste4s, both in the cooler and in the warmer season. Nature enthusiasts will enjoy the many hiking trails, cycle paths and mountain biking tours in fabulous surroundings. Sports enthusiasts can look forward to motorbike tours along the mountainous serpentines, wild water rafting and ski pistes. There are swimming lakes with crystal clear water and boat hire, from 11km away, or you can drive to the Mediterranean within an hour. You can experience history and culture in the medieval towns such as Mirepoix (20km) or Limoux (23km) with its carnival. There are Cathar castles in Queribus (80km), Peyrepertuse (90km) and Puylaurens (94km), or you can visit the impressive Romanesque village church I Rennes-le-Chateau (39km), and the famous fortified old town of Carcassonne (Cité de Carcassonne) 47km away. The nearest supermarket is 6km away and there are other shopping facilities 12km away.

The terrace provides garden furniture and a grill, so you can enjoy meals outdoors. A little path leads through the trees to the pool (diameter ca. 6m), where you can enjoy the lovely view towards the Pyrenees from the lawn. The house is about 30 metres from the horse stables. Manuel will be happy to accompany you on a horseback excursion into the beautiful surroundings.

    “Super schöne Gegend, wer Natur, Ruhe und Tiere mag ist hier genau richtig!
    Im Haus findet man alles was man braucht, es ist ordentlich und im großen und ganzen sauber.
    Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen.
    Ein kleines, süßes, verstecktes Häuschen, auf einem riesen Anwesen.
    Für Familien mit Kinder und Hund sehr empfehlenswert.
    Der Pool ist auch große Klasse da er Abgeschlossen werden kann und so mit auch für kleine Kinder geeignet ist.”

    “Ich persönlich bevorzuge ein Sofa zum gemeinsamen kuscheln.
    Aber auch wenn es dieses nicht gab war das Haus sauber und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht.
    Anstelle von einem Sofa gab es bequeme Einzelstühle mit Fuß-hochleg-Bänken. Es ist also für alles gesorgt : )
    Die Tips der Besitzerin wusste ich besonders zu schätzen, bezüglich des Wetters und wo man was einkaufen kann.
    Alles in allem fühlte ich mich rundum wohl dort.”

    “Charmante maison, située sur une grande propriété en pleine montagne. De tous les équipements fournis, rien à redire! La maison était propre et spacieuse. Une piscine propre et bien utilisée en cas de fortes chaleurs ;) Sympathie et disponibilité de la propriétaire. Un agréable séjour! À recommander vivement!”

    “Ein Haus in traumhafter Lage. Die Anlage befindet sich in traumhafter und einsamer Lage mit phantastischen Blick auf die Pyrenäen. Weit ab von der Straße gibt es hier keinen Verkehrslärm. Die Ausstattung des Hauses, vor allem in der Küche, ist hervorragend. Das große schöne Grundstück mit diversen Sitzmöbeln, lädt mit Pool, zum Verweilen ein. Die Vermieterin ist äußerst freundlich, zuvorkommend und steht für Fragen hilfsbereit zur Seite. Wir hatten hier eine wunderbare und erholsame Zeit!”

    “Wir waren zwei Wochen in Sonnac-sur-l'Hers im August, mit zwei jugendlichen Kindern. Das Ferienhaus war schön, allerdings hat uns die sehr nette Vermieterin am 2. Tag angeboten ins Haupthaus zu ziehen, weil sich einige Wespen auf der Terrasse tummelten. Die Tauschwohnung war sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles notwendige vorhanden, sogar Fliegengitter vor den Fenstern, und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Gut liegt sehr schön, allerdings muss man sich darauf einrichten das Auto zu nutzen. Wir waren mehrmals am Strand und in den Bergen, sind aber häufig zwischen 45 und 90 Minuten gefahren. Die Ausflüge waren dann aber sehr schön, Wandern, Rafting, steinzeitliche Höhlenmalereien, Strandtage.”
