Be the privileged guests of this magnificent 18th-century golden sand castle, flanked by two towers and perched proudly on the wild banks of the Rhône.
The castle is nestled in the historic small town of Pont St Esprit on the Gard and the vineyards. It is located in a 2 hectare park and with a magnificent French garden. An unforgettable vacation spot! You can relax in peace on the pleasantly shaded esplanades leading to the courtyard with a beautiful fountain. Other pluses for your well-being are the 7 x 13 m swimming pool, a large courtyard and a sauna. The interiors include over 20 rooms, including 8 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Of the two well-equipped kitchens, one is located on the upper floor, the other on ground level in a part of the castle that cannot be heated. The kitchen on the first floor has its own access to the outside or to the pool. Especially the very refined and elegant living room will do it to you. Pont-Saint-Esprit is not far from the Cevennes and benefits from the pleasant climate of Provence. Experience the Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard, the charming village of Uzès and the Chauvet Cave, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the nearby Cèze Valley, stroll through Goudargues, also known as the Venice of the Gard, then indulge in local fare at one of the waterfront restaurants. The village of La Roque-sur-Cèze beckons with exceptional swimming spots. The fireplace serves only as decoration.

    “Eigentlich sind wir immer noch sprachlos wegen dieses Schmuckstücks. Aber da das nicht sehr hilfreich ist, hier nur ein paar der Punkte, weshalb dieses Objekt unbedingt zu empfehlen ist:
    die Fotos lügen nicht. Es ist wirklich so unglaublich schön, wie auf den Fotos, stimmig eingerichtet, überall kleine, nette Details. Schöne, große Bäder. Der Pool und der Poolbereich ist großartig und wird vom Besitzer auch regelmäßig gewartet. Die Aufteilung des Grundstückes ist super (allein schon die Auffahrt!). Der Pool ist direkt am Haus, aber doch auch abgetrennt. Die Lounge im wunderschönen Innenhof eine Oase der Gemütlichkeit. Die Zimmer sind teilweise reichlich klein, aber eigentlich hält man sich sowieso nur draußen oder im Wohnbereich auf. Die Küche(n) ist relativ gut ausgestattet, es dürften aber noch ein paar größere Töpfe vorhanden sein, da man ja idR mit größeren Gruppen dort ist und die Spülmaschine ist für die Menge an Geschirr zu langsam. Eine kleine Schwäche sind vmtl. die (Abfluss-)Rohre, bzw. Toiletten, da es sich um ein altes Objekt handelt. Aber kein Problem, wenn man sich an die Vorgaben des Besitzers hält und immer kräftig spült. Alles in Allem können wir (20 Personen und 2 Hunde) dieses Schloss nur wärmstens empfehlen!”

    “Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft. Das Schloss liegt fantastisch, einfach nur schön, insbesondere bei strahlendem Sonnenschein und knallbuntem Himmel. Wenn 15 oder mehr Personen anreisen, ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sensationell. Küchen, sanitäre Anlagen und Sauna waren in einem super Zustand. Wir waren mit 13 Fahrrädern unterwegs und hatten ausreichend Unterstellmöglichkeit. Das ist schon eher selten.”
