The holiday apartment is situated in the quiet and sleepy Lockwitz by Dresden near the former historical village centre. The ambience invites you to go on evening strolls. The property is easy to get to via the A17 motorway connection, exit Dresden Nickern or Heidenau.
A large balcony adjoins the living room.
The name of the apartment was chosen due to the former wine press house "Donath's Obstkelterei Lockwitzgrund" that was house here more than a hundred years ago. It is a modern two-room holiday apartment with a living room and bedroom, a fully-equipped built-in kitchen with a stove and ceramic hob, oven and microwave. The generous living room is furnished with a sofa bed for two further guests, as well as a large LED TV (40”). The bedroom has a double bed (160 x 200cm) and a wardrobe. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath, washbasin and WC. A separate storage room provided additional storage space e.g. for suitcases. The living room and bedroom have laminate flooring, while the kitchen, bathroom, hallway and storage room have granite floor tiles. An additional child’s bed and highchair can be provided for a small fee. The following are also available: detailed map material about Dresden and the Sächsische Schweiz, timetables for Dresden public transport, a little library with interesting books for example about Dresden, a First Aid kit, various board games for all ages, umbrellas for rainy days.
The Lockwitztal with its historical mills invites you to hike and explore. Walks in the nearby Sächsische Schweiz are also always worth a trip. Public transport is within walking distance. It is about 25 minutes by bus to the town centre. You can find a bakery, restaurant, bank, Nickern shopping centre nearby, within a few minutes’ walk. Trip destinations include Salzstollen Dresden-Lockwitz, the Lockwitz castle and castle church, the castles Nickern, Großsedlitz, Pillnitz and Dresden, the Dresden city centre with the Semperoper, Zwinger, Grüne Gewölbe, Alte Meister gallery etc., the Sächsische Schweiz for hiking and climbing, Kreischa, the town Pirna, Osterzgebirge. Around Lockwitz there is the circuit walk: Mausoleum, Lockwitz/Trutzsch, Linde and Pappel, Babisnauer Pappel, walk to Lugturm, Wilisch.
The apartment is non-smoking and pets are not allowed. The price includes water, electricity, heating and the final cleaning. A laundry package per person is included, consisting of a large and a small towel, bed linen and a tea towel. The owner is happy to assist with any queries during your stay.
