With more than 295 km of marked trails and alpine climbing in Raurisertal and 70 hiking kilometers in Taxenbach is the region in Salzburg one of the largest and most varied hiking areas in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Pleasant walks across lush pastures to the next snack on one of the mountain huts, educational theme trails and demanding three thousand ascents. Past springs and waterfalls, through to real natural jewels like the Rauriser jungle, the Rauriser Urquell or by Kitzlochklamm, along testimonies of the gold rush and circling birds of prey to gigantic prospect of further mountains.
