At the bottom of the hill, where the extremely famous town of Cortona is and which is renowned not only for its antique fairs but also because of its splendid position dominating the Chiana valley as far as Lake Trasimeno, there is a small residential cum tourist complex, made up of just 11 apartments. These apartments have been obtained from the restoration of an ancient medieval farmhouse construction and whose oldest part presumably dates back to the 15th C. The terracotta floors and the old wooden structure of the load bearing part of the roofs (beams and joists) have been mantained. From the grounds and from almost all of the apartments, views over Cortona and the hills which set the boundaries of the Chiana valley with its interesting touristic itineraries. At the back: enclosed, extensive and equipped area (5.000 m2) with swimming-pool (15x8xmax. depth 2.2 m) (15/5-30/9). Parking. Reasonably comfortable furniture. Laundry room (washing machine). Satellite TV in each apartment. Air conditioning included in the price in July and August. The geographical position is of particular interest on account of its nearness to Cortona (3.1 km), Lake Trasimeno (12 km) (Castiglione del Lago with its beaches where you can hire deckchairs etc) and bordering on to the region of Umbria (40 km Perugia, 60 km Assisi). 500 m food shops and bus stop, abt. 2 km horse-riding school, 3 km Camucia (various shops).
