Holiday villa with sauna and garden on the lake

The holiday villa is located on the north shore of lake Iso-Kiimanen, about 7 kms from Sotkamo and 14 kms from Vuokatti.

Villa Pikkujalo is built from thermal log and consists of living area, open kitchen, two bedrooms, loft, toilet, dressing/utility room, washing room with two showers and a sauna with electric stove. In the master bedroom there is a queen-size double bed and plenty of closets. In the other bedroom there is a smaller fold-out double bed with proper mattress and a desk. On the loft there are two full single beds. It is also possible to sleep in the lakeside sauna building.

The villa is fully equipped with all kitchen appliances (cooker, cooker hood, oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffeemaker, electric kettle and toaster), washer, dryer, 2 televisions, Apple TV, Playstation 4 game console / blu-ray player, radio/CD-player with USB, fast wireless internet connection, iron & ironing board and hair dryer. For children there is a travel cot and feeding chair; there is also a safety gate in the stairs.

The villa is electrically heated with air-to-air heat pump providing the main heat source with air-conditioning when necessary. In areas with tiled floors there is floor-heating. Fireplace gives ambiance and also warmth if needed.

In addition to the villa, there is a separate sauna building by the lake. It's built from log and has an area of approx 30 square meters. The lakeside sauna has a wood-heated stove, bathroom with shower and a separate room with kitchenette, fireplace and beds for two to four persons (double bed and a fold-out couch).

The terrace is partly covered and partly open and has a dining table with chairs and a couple of sunchairs as well as a barbeque. The terrace of the lakeside sauna is covered and has garden furniture (sofa, armchair and coffee table). The beach, which is shallow and child-friendly, is only 15 meters away. There is also a pier.

On the property there is also a garage/storagebuilding, which is reserved for owner's use (apart from firewood storage).

A rowing boat is included, so you can row and catch fish in the lake (permits required according to Finnish law). There is a frisbeegolfbasket and frisbees, Finnish darts-board and darts, petanque and “Mölkky” (traditional Finnish yard game). Housetrained pets and small pets that are kept in cages are welcome. The location is very quiet and peaceful, at the end of a private road. The nearest neighbour is 300 metres away as the crow flies. The entire property is almost 4 hectares, so privacy is ensured. The yard is open and sunny throughout the day. The road is well-kept and without steep hills, and there is ample parking available.

Katinkulta golf course (27 holes and 9 holes par-3) is just over 10 kms away, as are Vuokatti ski slopes, cross-country tracks, year-round skiing track and Angry Birds activity park. During winter a snowmobile route runs close to the villa.

All activities and sights of Sotkamo and Kainuu are easily accessible.

    “Wir waren im Januar zwei Wochen in diesem sehr schön gelegenem Haus. Eine tolle Sicht auf den zugefrorenen See und mit etwas Glück konnten wir sogar einige Elche und einen Fuchs über das Eis gehen sehen. Die Hütte selbst ließ keine Wünsche offen. Sowohl von der Gestaltung, wie von der Ausstattung, waren wir begeistert. Der Fahrtweg zur Hütte war allzeit gut geräumt und das WLAN immer verfügbar.
    Nach der Sauna war es immer schön, draußen auf der Veranda bei Temperaturen um bis zu -28°C abzukühlen, den Vollmond, das Licht und die Stimmung zu genießen.”

    Es ist geräumig und umfangreich ausgestattet. Die Einrichtung ist modern und hochwertig.
    Alle technischen Geräte sind leicht zu bedienen und funktionieren einwandfrei.
    Auffällig ist, dass das Haus und die Gestaltung der Außenanlagen sehr durchdacht geplant und mit Liebe zum Detail umgesetzt wurden.
    Hervorzuheben ist die sehr schöne ruhige Lage direkt am See, auf den man einen herrlichen Ausblick genießen kann.
    Alles in allem der perfekte Ort um Auszuspannen und sich vom Alltagsstress zu erholen.”
