This holiday apartment is in a quiet location, only 5 minutes’ drive to Calheta beach and shops and restaurants, 30 minutes from Funchal and 40 minutes from the airport.
The two-bedroom, two bathroom apartment comprises of the following rooms:
A living room for 4 people and a flatscreen TV with surround sound. The bedroom has two side tables and a double bed 1.60 width and the master bedroom has a double bed 1.60 width and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. The second bathroom has a shower and bidet. Plus there is a fully-equipped kitchen with an oven, microwave, filter coffee machine and a dining area for 6 people. There is a laundry room with a washing machine.
The balcony of the apartment offers a fabulous view of the ocean and mountains. And the communal swimming pool is surrounded by a beautiful garden.
The apartment is ideally located for touring the island, with easy access to the North and its fabulous landscapes via Ribeira Brava. Porto Moniz and its natural swimming pools in the East are only 35 minutes away. Big game fishing and dolphin and whale watching from the Calheta Marina. Snorkeling, diving, swimming, surfing, canoeing at Calheta beach.
The apartment has a fantastic network of trails and levadas. There are 2 ( 25 fountains and risco) of the more than 200 trails criss-crossing the island’s basalt rock masses, taking hikers into a rare natural world. Along these irrigation channels you will come across species of fauna and flora found hardly anywhere else in the world, in Madeira’s traditional Laurissilva Forest, which has been declared a World Natural Heritage Site.
Nearby you can find small markets, restaurants and bars were you can taste the famous Poncha of Madeira. Depending on the time you visit us you can assist to religious celebrations or to various events on the island, like Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Carnival, Flower Party etc.
