Right outside the front door there is access to cross-country ski trails in winter and hiking trails and gravel roads for cycling in summer. In Sjusjøen there are restaurants, stores and much more. About 30 minutes by car from the cottage is the Olympic city of Lillehammer, where you can experience Maihaugen, Lysgårdsbakken, The Olympic Museum, the family park Hunderfossen and Hafjell.
