It is only about 100 meters from your balcony to the sandy beach in El Puig. Of course you can also just sit here and watch the hustle and bustle from above.

However, it would be a pity, because the region holds some exciting cultural experiences for you.

Puig de Santa Maria had a special meaning in the time of the reconquest of València by Jaume I.

Therefore, there are many historical buildings and monuments, such as the castle of Enesa. It is the castle of Jaume I, which stands on the top of a hill and was declared a Cultural Monument in 2002. This fortress has an impressive history, as it was also used briefly by El Cid.
The troops of Jaume I rebuilt it and made it a decisive element in the capture of València.

Another building that should be seen is the hermitage de Sant Jordi. This place was built in 1631 to commemorate the Battle of Puig and in honor of San Jorge. Nowadays, most of the festivities commemorating the entry of King James I into the city are held in this chapel.

If you want to explore other attractions in Puig de Santa Maria, you should also pay a visit to the Carthusian Monastery de Ara Christi, which was declared a Cultural Property in 1996. For a while it served as a religious building, but when you visit this place nowadays, it's like stepping back in time and admiring the art on its walls.

Of course, you should also have seen the most characteristic building of this place: the monastery of Santa Maria del Puig. It was declared a cultural monument in 1969.
