A visit to the island zoo on the large pond will delight everyone - from young to old. The nearby Flugwelt Museum Altenburg-Nobitz will amaze visitors of all ages. The Leinawald forest is a wonderful place for walking or cycling. Day trips to Leipzig, Chemnitz, Gera or Dresden are also possible. You can experience unforgettable moments at the Belantis amusement park or in the lake district between Altenburg and Leipzig.
