The spacious farmhouse has been lavishly restored with great attention to detail, using local materials and traditional techniques to preserve the original charm of the stone house. With two self-contained guest houses just a few steps from the main house, this villa offers perfect accommodation for family gatherings or a group of friends who also like their privacy. The first floor of the main house is dominated by the imposing great room, divided into intimate cooking, dining and living areas. Two elegant double bedrooms are located on the second floor, each with its own luxurious bathroom, as well as a private lounge area with direct access to the upper terrace. Two further bedrooms, also with en-suite bathrooms, are on the top floor. The delightful courtyard hides the two pretty guest houses, one larger and one smaller, both with a cozy double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, kitchen, dining and lounge area, as well as a private terrace that serve as cozy nooks for relaxation.
The same care went into the garden and outdoor space. The magnificent landscaped garden surrounds the villa and blends harmoniously into the idyllic natural surroundings. The incredibly inviting outdoor terrace extends in front of the main house with al fresco dining area and the traditional built-in barbecue, as well as a very cozy lounge. They lead onto the beautiful pool area with stylish sun loungers carefully positioned so that you can relax in both sun and shade. A selection of outdoor lounge and dining areas offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy the magical ambience alone or with the whole party, in the long hot summer days, as well as in the cooler months that Istria offers. A very special villa in a very special place for your very special vacation, Villa Catalpa is located on the edge of the incredibly picturesque little hamlet of Prascari. The setting is simply fabulous, with a narrow winding road leading from Visnjan, idyllic olive groves, lush meadows and rich Mediterranean forests surrounding this historic hilltop town. It is famous for its breathtaking sea views, its astronomical observatory, but also for its excellent traditional gastronomy, which can be enjoyed in the numerous restaurants, agro-tourisms and rustic cellars in the region. Hiking trails, cycling routes and horseback riding are all nearby, and both Porec with its beautiful beaches and the idyllic medieval hilltop towns of the hinterland are easily accessible along excellent country roads.
