Visit the charming village of Rians, situated 335 m above sea level. The village was built in a spiral around the old fortified castle, of which only the clock tower from the 12th century remains. Rians has preserved a rich heritage that will delight lovers of history and archaeology. During a stroll, you will discover traces of its medieval past: the old ramparts, the Saint-Jean gate, the square tower, pretty fountains, doors and several town houses. Rians is surrounded by vineyards where the delicious Côteaux-d'Aix-en-Provence are grown. The countryside invites you to take beautiful walks, on foot, by bike, on horseback or even on the back of a pack mule. Every year on the second weekend in October, the pumpkin festival is an event not to be missed! The streets of the village come alive and fill with pumpkins of all kinds. There are competitions for sculptures, recipes and decorations. Finally, this house in Artigues is the ideal starting point for exploring the nearby villages of Jouques and Saint-Paul- lès-Durance as well as the city of Aix-en-Provence and the Sainte-Baume Regional Nature Park.
