If you are looking for something special, Villa Ses Cases de Son Roig is the right place for you: the history of this country estate stretches back a proud 200 years. The rustic old walls have offered a home and shelter for so long and, since the renovation, have met the highest standards. Let's start our tour in the elegant garden: surrounded by a lush green landscape and forests, you will be delighted by the panoramic bird's eye view of the Mallorcan hinterland and the striking outline of the Tramuntana mountains beyond. If you've got your swimming shorts on, you're ready for the shimmering blue pool. After all, your holiday should also rejuvenate your skin. A big part of this is the intake of vitamin D. Fortunately, the sun is never in short supply. The only question is which pretty little spot on the property you fancy soaking up the sun's rays. Candidates include the panoramic lounge terrace right next to the pool, the roof terrace, which brings you a little closer to heaven on earth, and a corner of the park-like and extremely well-tended garden, or perhaps the bright terrace inside the house with its comfortable rattan furniture? If the heat is too much for you, there is also a pergola at your disposal. When the sun finally sets, it's time for the built-in barbecue, your faithful companion for preparing delicious delicacies.

When you enter the house, you are greeted by the rustic cosiness of the comfortably designed rooms, which receive a healthy dose of light during the day. In the evening, the kitchen can become a cosy meeting place, especially if you decide to light the open fireplace. Two of the double bedrooms are located on the ground floor as well as a spacious bathroom, while the other two bedrooms are on the first floor, where you will also find the living room with a huge sofa, a flat-screen TV and authentic natural stone walls. One of the bedrooms has a large double bed, while the other has two large double beds and another huge bed separated by a folding screen. The furnishing style emphasises valuable, antique pieces that lend elegance to the ambience. There is another bathroom here, which, like its counterpart on the ground floor, also has a bathtub for a peaceful end to the day.

The small holiday resort of Sant Joan is only 3 km away. There you will find everything you need for your daily needs, marvel at the huge church of Sant Joan Baptista with its alabaster pulpit or learn how the barons lived on the island in feudal times. A weekly market with fresh produce awaits you in the town on Thursdays. Wine connoisseurs can perhaps round off their shopping trip at La Reserva Rotana Resort, 22 kilometres away, where they can take part in a tasting in the hotel's own bodega. You can also play golf here. The popular sandy beach of Can Picafort is only half an hour away in your hire car. The towns of Sineu, Sencelles and Costitx are also worth a visit. They are all located off the coast, a part of Mallorca known for delicious food, old windmills and fantastic landscapes. The historic villa Ses Cases de Son Roig offers a wonderful mix of idyllic countryside and good infrastructure 3 km north of the tranquil village of Sant Joan. You can do your daily shopping in the village itself. If you feel drawn to the sea, Can Picafort, 30 minutes away, is an excellent option. But the diversity of the east coast is also just a short drive away.
