It is also just 4km from miles of golden sandy beaches and 1km from the Canal du Midi, where boat and cycle hire is available. The excursion possibilities are endless. Visit the seaside town of Cap d'Agde or the authentic fishing resort of Sète. Wander around the historical sun-drenched town of Béziers, capital of the Languedoc vineyards which stretch as far as Narbonne, 33km, and Carcassonne, 83km. Narbonne is a lovely town to wander around in the shade of its plane trees. Montpellier and Carcassonne are also well worth a visit.
