    “Not the most wonderful town on the Algarve from what we saw. Property is well located for access to motorways and local beaches. Lidl and Auchan 5 min drive. Large shopping centre with a decent food court next to Auchan. Decathlon 5 mins drive. Water parks 15 minutes away. Sagres 1 hour. Albuferia 30 mins.”

    “Die Stadt Portimao ist schon recht urban und lässt auf den ersten Blick ein touristisches Ambiente vermissen. Dafür gibt es unzählige Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Supermärkten aller Größen sowie in Fachgeschäften. In den kleineren Ortsteilen unmittelbar in Strandnähe gibt es jedoch ein großes touristisches Angebot mit vielen kleinen Bars und Restaurants. Der Strände in unmittelbare Nähe des Ortes sind weitläufig und flach, absolut sauber, an denen man an den landseitigen Strandrändern immer wieder kleine Bars und Restaurants findet. Die typischen "Algarve-Buchten" liegen etwas weiter entfernt, die man jedoch nach kurzer Fahrt mit dem Mietwagen erreichen kann.”
