    “Het deel van Trappeto waar wij verbleven is half oktober verlaten en er is weinig tot niets te doen. Wel loop je in vijf minuten naar het (zand)strand. De restaurantjes waren echter gesloten en ook het strand was nagenoeg verlaten op een enkele andere bezoeker. In het andere deel van Trappeto zijn echter meer faciliteiten, waaronder enkele restaurantjes, een klein supermarktje (wij hebben boodschappen gedaan in de Lidl in Partinico), een bakker (moeilijk te vinden) en een slager.
    In de omgeving is er echter genoeg andere horeca (Balestrate en ook Castellammare). Ook is er genoeg te zien en te beleven. Wij zijn naar de Griekse tempel en het theater in Segesta geweest, het bergdorpje Erice, Palermo, het nationale park Zingaro (mooie wandeling gemaakt) en hebben vanuit Castellammare een boottocht gemaakt langs de kust richting Scopello en verder langs de kust van het nationale park Zingaro (grotten bekeken vanaf het water, heerlijk gezwommen en gesnorkeld). We hebben ook nog een middagje doorgebracht op het strand bij Marinella, waar we ook op het strand hebben gegeten. We zijn niet toegekomen aan een bezoek aan de Akropolis en oude tempels in Selinunte daar vlakbij in de buurt, wat we wel van plan waren. De tijd was echter ontoereikend om beiden te doen.”
