Idyllically situated holiday house with a roof terrace and a view of the valley and the sea

The historical natural stone house, which was built around 400 years ago, is very quietly situated above an olive grove, where wine grapes are also cultivated. The house is nestled into an exceptionally fertile area, affording a wonderful view over the valley as far as the sea.

The property is on a ca. 2000m² site on a slope, bordering farmed fields with olive trees and grape vines. Families with pets should note that the site is not fully fenced in. The nearest neighbours are a couple of hundred metres away, so well-behaved dogs can run around freely. The house features a large, south-facing roof terrace of around 30m², affording a charming view of the valley from Montedivalli towards the sea. The roof terrace provides a dining table for up to six people, chairs, a big parasol and two sun loungers. An outdoor car parking space is available right in front of the door.

The detached building is composed of two separate parts, each an accommodation unit with its own terrace. The other half of the house is used privately but rarely by the owner, as well as the second floor of the building. Your accommodation has a separate entrance and provides around 90m² of living space on two floors with heating throughout. Please note that there is no air conditioning. The first floor comprises a living room with satellite TV, a dining room with a sofa bed (100 x 200cm) for one person, a fully-equipped kitchen with a washing machine for use free of charge, a big bedroom with a kingsize bed (160cm wide), and a shower room. A foldable travel cot (60 x 120cm) and a highchair can be provided free of charge. Please bring your own pillow, blanket and bed linen for the cot. The ground floor has a second little bedroom with a French bed (140cm wide) and an adjoining area where you could store your luggage.

You can find good shopping facilities in Ceparana about 6km away, with a couple of large supermarkets. Your holiday destination Montedivalli is in the Liguria-Tuscany border area and consists of many little settlements spread around the valley. There are little fields all around the house and a chestnut forest starts behind the house. For nature lovers, herb gatherers and dog owners, the accommodation is an ideal starting point for walks and hikes in green nature. A path meanders up the mountains to a high trail that leads as far as the French border. The surrounding medieval villages can be accessed easily on foot along little paths and fields. The clear river Vara is just a few kilometres away, with some areas where you can swim. The beaches of Liguria and Tuscany, as well as the picturesque villages of Cinque Terre, are within easy access from here. It is only about 15km to the sea. During the day you could go on a seaside trip with the family and enjoy the local culture, then retreat to the cool and peaceful mountains in the evening.

    “Wir (Familie mit 2 Kindern im Alter 13 und 9) hatten hier eine wunderbare Woche in den Sommerferien. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden was man braucht, was aus unserer Sicht nicht bei jedem Ferienhaus üblich ist. Auch die Beschreibung und der Kontakt zur Vermieterin waren sehr gut und wir bekamen immer direkt auf alle Fragen eine Antwort. Die Terrasse mit dem wunderbaren Ausblick hat uns jeden Tag aufs Neue begeistert. Die zahlreichen Ausflugsziele in der Nähe (Cinque Terre, La Spezia, Pisa etc.) sowie die sehr guten Restaurants in der Umgebung, haben ihr übriges zu einem perfekten Aufenthalt beigetragen. Wir kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder!”

    “Die Lage es Hauses ist wunderbar, man hat einen tollen Ausblick über das Tal und entkommt dem Trubel der Küste komplett, die man in der Ferne noch sehen kann. Dachs, Wildschwein und Stachelschwein haben uns abends "Gute Nacht" gesagt, während wir auf der großen Terasse den Tag bei einem Glas Rotwein haben ausklingen lassen. Die Ausstattung der Küche und des Hauses lassen keine Wünsche übrig.”
