Large, cozy thatched cottage on the North Sea coast with a large garden and sauna ideal for families up to eight people

The historical farmhouse furnished in a rustic Frisian style is located on a terp. It is on a 1600m² site.

The historical house is the front part of a Frisian long house, which is comparable to an end-of-terrace house. It provides 140m² of living space on two floors and can accommodate up to eight people, of which two beds are suitable only for children. The charming house was built in 1717 and was last renovated in 2019.

The house consists of four bedrooms, a living room with a dining space, an eat-in kitchen and two bathrooms. On the ground floor, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom with a duo bath, toilet and washbasin. One bedroom is furnished with two single berth beds (90 x 200cm), the other with a bunk bed, only for children up to a maximum of 60 kilos.

The living room with a generous dining space, separate sitting corner and a highchair is also on the ground floor. The living room is also equipped with satellite TV, a DVD player, a stereo system and a fireplace stove, which you are welcome to use.

The upper floor consists of two further bedrooms, each with a double bed (180 x 200cm). A sofa bed for a further person can be added on advance request. One bedroom also has a cot and a changing table, for use free of charge. There is also a bathroom on the upper floor with a shower, washbasin, toilet and sauna. The separate kitchen is equipped with a dining table, an oven, toaster, microwave, ceramic hob, dishwasher and a fridge with a freezer compartment. Each room has heating. There is no air conditioning.

Outside you can find a garden for your own exclusive use. It has a sheltered sitting area, a double swing and a sandpit for children, as well as a grill fireplace for cosy grill evenings. There is also a separate bicycle shed. The generous lawn invites you to relax, read and dine undisturbed with the family. Children can run around outdoors. Three outdoor car parking spaces are available.

Free Wi-Fi Internet access is available. Children’s toys and board games for all ages are provided. An iron and a vacuum cleaner are available. Firewood for the fireplace is not provided, but can be purchased in supermarkets and DIY shops. Two highchairs and a cot are available free of charge. Please note that the property is non-smoking. A pet is allowed for a fee.

Just 500 metres away there is the nearest centre with restaurants, a fish restaurant and a steak house. The house is a kilometre from the North Sea and the tidal flats national park. In front of it there is the Hauke Haien Koog, which is one of the largest German breeding and resting places for migrating birds. There is a children’s playground just 200 metres away.
