This region boasts some excellent beaches as well as good opportunities for sailing and fishing. Further inland you will discover many reminders of bygone days such as castles and ancient manor houses as well as attractions like Randers Rainforest, a lush artificial jungle that is both exciting and educational. The kids will love Djurs Sommerland amusement park, the Kattegat Centre with its exciting sharks, Ebeltoft Zoo & Safari Park and the Scandinavian Wildlife Park. Exciting museums can also be found in abundance, including the 'Jylland', a historic frigate now open to the public, the Glass Museum at Ebeltoft, the Museum of Agriculture and the Manor House Museum at Gammel Estrup and the Djursland Museum of local history.
