Great excursion destinations in the area are the Pyramidenkogel on Lake Wörthersee, Landskron Castle and the Affenberg near Villach or the Terra Montana mine in Bad Bleiburg. Whether in summer or winter, the Gerlitzen Kanzelbahn will take you to lofty heights, where you can go on extensive hikes or find well-prepared slopes.

In the local tourist offices you can purchase the Carinthia Card, with which you can visit a number of sights for free or at a reduced price.
