Barock-Landhof Burkhardt lies in the center of the historical wine-growing town of Spitz an der Donau, one of the most tradition-rich communities in all of the Danube valley, located between Melk and Krems. Today a romantic 4-star hotel in the Wachau region, this estate was once home to a wine-collection point belonging to an abbey. This small country chateau represents an authentic piece of Wachau romance and history, one which extends back to the 12th century. In the 16th century, the estate served as both a winery and stately home, and it was during this period that it was remodeled in the style of the Baroque. It is now eight generations of family ownership and offers modern comforts, historical ambience and family atmosphere.

You can choose between four baroque-modern Superior double rooms, two cozy Comfort double rooms and five comfortable vacation apartments (2-4 persons) with a view of the Danube, the vineyards and the venerable church.

The hotel's own fruit orchard, together with a sunbathing area with panoramic views, allows you to rediscover a sense of inner harmony and peace here on the shores of the Danube. In walking distance of the hotel, guests find cozy wine taverns, charming restaurants and the renowned vintners of Spitz an der Donau.

This exquisitely furnished holiday apartment, located on the second floor, is both spacious and comfortable offering 70 m² living space for up to four people.

The apartment features; two bedrooms equipped with modern box spring beds and sufficient space for storage, a large living room with a kitchen, dining area and a sofa as well as two bathrooms with separate toilets.
