Welcome to the Nagelfluhhaus Hirsch in the Gunzesrieder Valley.
Families, couples, friends, and solo travelers can feel comfortable in our family-friendly, pet-friendly environment. Here, you not only enjoy a breathtaking view of the Nagelfluh chain and the Hörner chain, but also heartfelt hospitality in an owner-managed house.
The charm of the creaking floorboards, the Allgäu flair, the low ceiling height in the restaurant area, and the old coffered ceilings in a traditional house from 1866 promise atmosphere and coziness.
Our two dogs, rooster with hens, and tomcat delight not only children's hearts but also enhance breakfast. Our tomcat Willi lives in and around the house, patrols the property, and loves to receive pets from guests.
Our little village, nestled in the Gunzesrieder High Valley, surrounded by meadows, forests, and mountains, is perfect for enjoying the day and leaving everyday life behind. The "Hirschen" is a central starting point for delightful valley and mountain hikes, as well as mountain tours. Whether walking nearby or heading on tours in the Allgäu high Alps, stunning swimming lakes, cool mountain streams, excellent ski areas, lush meadows… with us, you have more of everything.
And if you wonder why the surrounding mountains don’t seem so high all of a sudden—you're at an altitude of 930 m.
Enjoy the tranquility of the Nagelfluh Nature Park, away from traffic. Wellness for the senses in pristine nature, the most beautiful starry sky, sound delights in summer with the bells ringing of many beautiful Allgäu cows, culinary pleasures in the Alps, dairies, and restaurants. Dogs up to 40 cm high at the withers without food, on request: up to 3 days € 30.00, each additional night € 10.00. Except during meals in the Nagelfluhhaus Hirsch, dogs may not remain alone in the room. Dogs in and around the house only on a leash. Do not let the dogs sleep in and on beds, sofas and other furniture, not even with their own blanket. Please bring your favorite dog bed with you. If necessary, we will charge an additional cleaning fee.
