Off the beaten track, far above Weesen and the Walensee (Lake Walen), with a magnificent view over the Linth region and the Glarus Alps, is the idyllic Berghüttli Obereichholzberg. Approximately 300 meters above the valley floor, the cottage is the perfect "hideaway" for short and long stays, quiet getaways and relaxing vacations. The cozy retreat is located directly on the hiking trail between Ziegelbrücke and the mountain peaks of Federispitz or Speer. The cottage is an exclusive oasis of relaxation in the middle of a beautiful natural area, thanks especially to its secluded location. The region above Weesen and the Walensee in Eastern Switzerland is a very popular hiking area with a variety of hiking and recreational opportunities between the riviera at the Walensee and the mountain peaks of the foothills of the Alps. Given its remoteness, the Obereichholzberg mountain vacation home can only be reached via a hiking trail, from Weesen or Ziegelbrücke with your own car. From the Ziegelbrücke train station, the vacation home can be reached in a good hour on foot via a hiking trail. Via Höfen- and Rittersbergstrasse from Weesen, the vacation cottage can be reached by car up to about 500 meters from the front door. The parking lot is about a 10-minute walk from the house.

More information by the provider: The cozy 3.5-room "Obereichholzberg" mountain vacation home is located in the midst of forests and meadows above Weesen at about 700 meters. The house has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate 4 people. The "rustic" and stylishly furnished mountain house was built well over 100 years ago as an alpine hut and has been continuously expanded into a vacation home. Despite its remoteness, it offers a good level of comforts, such as electricity, hot and cold water from its own source (without drinking water treatment), a shower and a separate toilet. The shower is integrated in the rear part of a spacious kitchen and is well-screened by a room divider. The house is heated exclusively with wood and has, for this purpose, a tiled stove with a stove bench in the living room, which is heated from the kitchen. There is no central heating. Also available in the house is a petrol stove, which provides the primary source of heat. In cold seasons, it is recommended to bring slippers and warm clothing. The bedroom upstairs has a double bed (160x200cm). The bedroom on the ground floor connects directly to the living room. It is equipped with 2 single beds (90x200cm). The wonderful tiled stove in the living room is particularly eye-catching. The living area features an armchair and dining table. Nothing should stand in the way of a cozy get-together. TV and internet are not available. Mobile reception is very good for setting up your own hotspot. The kitchen is spacious and equipped with 2 gas hobs (oven not available). A refrigerator and freezer and a Nespresso coffee machine are available. For cozy evenings, the fondue set and raclette oven can be rented from the landlords. Some board games, such as UN, Mikado and other games are available. A highlight is the spacious grounds and the cozy garden terrace with seating area with two deckchairs and a magnificent view over the valley and the mountains. A steep road leads to the accommodation, which cannot be used. Therefore, the parking lot is a 10-minute walk from the property. Due to the nature of the route, it is recommended to transport your luggage by backpack (wheeled suitcases are not suitable). Dogs are allowed (free of charge). Smoking is only permitted outdoors.
