Sustainable recreation in Houseboat Waterparel 

This energy efficient houseboat is made of sustainable materials and equipped with no less than 12 solar panels. The cozy houseboat has windows on all sides so you have a view over the popular Sneekermeer and is located in marina Waterrijck. The Sneekermeer guarantees maximum water (sports) fun! In the vicinity you can easily rent a sloop, sailboat or SUP.

The cosy sitting area has a spacious corner sofa, coffee table, television and loose armchair. The dining area is furnished with a table with a comfortable bench and two single chairs for a total of four seats. All sides of the living room offer a view of the adjacent Sneekermeer through the huge windows. The well-equipped kitchen is located in the walk-through to the rear of the boat and features an induction hob, combination microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and electric kettle. 

The two bedrooms are at the back of the one-floor houseboat. Both bedrooms have a double bed (160 x 200 cm), closet, bedside tables and bedside lamps. The bathroom has a vanity, a towel radiator and a spacious walk-in shower with a glass door. There is also a separate toilet.

Both sides of the houseboat have lovely terraces (10 m2 combined), the rear of which catches the evening sun. The rear terrace is accessible through the bedroom at the rear of the houseboat.  The terrace at the front of the houseboat has a seating area with two chairs and a table. Directly in front of the door on this side is a lovely sunbathing area/garden (100 m2) with a picnic table for cosy dining and two comfortable deck chairs. Lowers yourself into the water with the fixed swimming ladder and enjoy a wonderful swim in the Sneekermeer.

The air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms ensures that this beautiful place is enjoyable on even the hottest summer days. Pets are not allowed in this accommodation. A crib and a high chair are available for children up to two years old.

Sneekermeer is the place to be

The accommodation offers a view of the Sneekermeer, the boats, and the wonderful natural beauty such as sunrise, sunset and waterfowl. The Sneekermeer is the place to be if you love the water and all it offers. You can rent and experience almost anything water sports related in the area. You can also enjoy lunch, drinks or dinner in the harbour at restaurant De Beachclub, open in summer and winter.

The ferry to Starteiland—a household name in Friesland—also leaves from here. If you love water skiing or want to try something new, try the water ski cable park within walking distance of the accommodation. About 7 km away lies Sneek, a lively town with nice restaurants and various interesting shops. The city of Leeuwarden is thirty minutes away by car; it is a bustling shopping city with many terraces along the canals. Downtown Leeuwarden offers great fashion stores, trendy pop-up stores, cute boutiques, quaint shopping streets and hidden gems. Leeuwarden is perfect for a pleasant afternoon of shopping.
