Welcome to Grandfather João’s Mill! Typical rural tourism stay within a charming retreat full of history: Moinho do Avô João. Let yourself be carried away by the calm of the surrounding nature, admiring the rustic decor for an irreverent holiday just 10 minutes from the beaches of Western Portugal. This magnificent space is prepared for 6 people, with all the necessary amenities to enjoy your vacation. It has 2 living rooms and 1 reading/leisure room.
There are 2 double bedrooms, one of which is on the first floor of the mill and the other is in the mill annex. In the annex you will find a living room with cable TV, air conditioning and access to the outside, an equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower. On the ground floor of the mill there is a small living room with a sofa bed, on the first floor the bedroom and on the second floor a small reading or leisure space. Outside there is a barbecue and a patio area where you can enjoy the view of Vale da Rocha and the sea.
In the center of the village Ventosa (around 200) you will find a small grocery store (Frescos & Companhia) where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables and bread daily. Further ahead they found a Central café and an ATM.
About 1.4km away is the Fonte de Lima Natural Park, a place to walk and enjoy nature. There you can find Novo Parque, a place well known for its snacks and meals as well as drinks and events.
In Lourinhã, around 6km from the house, you will find all essential services from pharmacies, fresh market, butcher, fishmonger, supermarkets (Lidl, Aldi, Pingo Doce, Intermarché) post office, various stores etc...
The closest beach will be Praia de Porto Dinheiro or Valmitão, approximately 2.5km away, where you can find several bars and restaurants.
Areia Branca Beach is about 10km away and is considered a more touristy area where you will find several bars and restaurants next to the beach.
