If you drive from Artà in the direction of Colònia de Sant Pere, you will come to the small road on the right that leads to Villa Son Calletes. From here it is another 350 metres through spectacular countryside before you reach this beautiful, inviting property. The building has an almost modular appearance with many sharp angles and an irregular roof line, which blends in well with the surrounding landscape. Half of the property is fenced and on the other side there are several animals, including sheep. They come round once a day to clean and then disappear discreetly at the back of the house so that you can enjoy the outdoor facilities and especially the pool in peace. Near the car park, directly in front of the house, there is a lovely little lawn surrounded by trees where you can play or just relax on the grass. Two tall palm trees give the area a certain Mediterranean charm. This outdoor area is also home to the extra-long pool, which is 15 metres long and invites you not only to splash around but also to swim laps. What a unique pleasure it will be to go out before breakfast or right at sunset and simply glide through the cool water. Right next to the house is a covered terrace, which is accessible from the kitchen and living room - the perfect place to sit back and enjoy the lush greenery of the garden. From here you can also keep an eye on the pool and any children playing there. The terrace is furnished with a set of comfortable deckchairs and an elegant dining set with a round glass table and matching chairs. This is a fantastic place to enjoy a cosy breakfast in the morning. And in the evenings, it's the best place to sit with everyone and enjoy a delicious meal while it's still sizzling from the barbecue.

Inside, it's all about a spacious living room with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Make yourself comfortable on one of the sofas or armchairs and enjoy a good book or watch a film on TV. In the evening, an original lamp made from a wagon wheel bathes the room in warm, calming light. The living room leads directly into the kitchen and dining area, which is separated from the larger room by a bar. The dining area has a large, rustic table in front of the fireplace, where the whole group can dine together in style, even indoors for a change. The traditional kitchen covers all your daily holiday needs; there is even a kettle and espresso machine. On hot summer days, there's nothing better than a fresh salad made with delicious local produce and flavoured olive oil. To the right of the front entrance is a large bedroom with bathroom. Straight ahead, a staircase leads to the upper floor, where there are two further bedrooms and another bathroom. These spacious, modern bedrooms offer more than just a place to rest; rather, each one is designed with its own unique aesthetic appeal to create an environment where you can truly relax. Each of the two bathrooms is beautifully accented with colourful decorative items and the larger bathroom has a highly unusual shower that makes for a truly novel experience. It is located in a special circular area of the bathroom, which is bathed in natural light and mostly painted in a beautiful orange wash pattern. The shower tray and curtains are also round, making the whole area look like a mysterious, elegant picture that you can simply climb into.

With a population of around 6,500, Artà is a beautiful small town without any large hotels. There are some excellent restaurants and good shopping facilities for food and other everyday necessities. The weekly farmers' market is held in the town every Tuesday and is well worth a visit. The nearest beaches are in Cala Ratjada, Canyamel, Cala Bona, Costa dels Pins and the bay of Cala Millor.

The secluded, picturesque Villa Son Calletes is located on a gentle slope in the idyllic countryside, less than 3 km from Artà, where there is a good selection of shops and cafés. Also nearby are the pretty town of Capdepera (11 km) and the harbour of Cala Ratjada (13 km) with its beautiful beach promenade and excellent bars and restaurants. The nearest beaches, including the beautiful Platja Colònia de Sant Pere, are approximately 1113 km from the villa.
