Country charm with a touch of luxury: This is one of 3 apartments in a historical Thurgau farmhouse. It is on the top floor (2nd, no elevator), with views over the village and when the weather allows you can see the mountains in the distance. The other two apartments on the ground and 1st floor are rented to long-term tenants. The building is quiet, clean and well kept. This 2-bedroom apartment is furnished with all the modern comfort expected by the savvy traveler. It has a perfect mix of traditional and modern, contemporary design. Its vaulted ceilings and open floor plan give this place a spacy but cozy feeling. High-speed Wi Fi is included in the price. The whole apartment has heating with thermostat to keep you warm in the cold season. There is a dining space next to the kitchen with a dining table and four chairs. PARKING AND OUTSIDE SPACE There is parking in front of the house included in the price. The bus station (Postauto) is just steps away and busses go hourly in each direction either to Weinfelden or Ermatingen. The closest grocery stores are a 10 minutes drive. The area is very safe. HOUSE RULES Strictly no smoking in the apartment. A small pet up to 8 kg (16lb) allowed. Please be quiet after 10 p.m. or before 8 a.m.. Please handle everything in the apartment with care. We have furnished and decorated with love and attention to detail and like for all our guests to enjoy in best condition.  The property manager lives on location and is available for questions or if you need help. Excursion possibilities: Hattenhausen is a small farming village nestled in the green hills of Thurgau in Eastern Switzerland close to the beautiful Lake of Constance (Bodensee). Surrounded by meadows, forests, a golf course and farmland this area is a hidden treasure not known to the average mass tourist visiting Switzerland. Thurgau is well known for its apple trees and the good apple juice and cider originating from here. Within a 5-30 minute drive there is a lot to see and do. Many castles and monasteries are open to visitors, nearby medieval towns invite for a stroll through their cobblestone streets. Its side street cafes and many restaurants offer local delicacies. Take a boat trip on the lake or down the river Rheine to Schaffhausen with its famous waterfall. Play a round of golf at the Lipperswil Golf Club, one of the most beautiful golf courses in Switzerland with beautiful views just 5 minutes after leaving your apartment. Indulge in a day of wellness at the Golf Panorama also just 5 minutes away. Kids will enjoy an exciting day at Conny Land Lipperswil, 5 minutes drive away. With your bicycle you can explore the surrounding countryside and stop at castles or traditional country restaurants for a break or just take a pick nick and enjoy the outdoors. There are many well-signed walking trails and small streets for hikers. Take Western horseback riding lessons 10 minutes away. From here go on half day or day trips to neighbor cantons and the mountains or nearby destinations in Germany. There is a closet, commode and a flat screen cable TV as well as a comfortable chair. Other kitchen equipment (Kitchen1): The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook full meals. The appliances are all new and of best quality.
