“If you are looking for quiet and calm, this is the house for you. The house is a barn conversion which is spacious and has been nicely done. It was immaculately clean with a nice open kitchen and dining area, which was well equiped. The bedrooms are very clean and simple with comfy beds and new matrasses. Be sure to take an extra blanket as there weren't any and we had to make do with the thin cover on the beds, though there is heating in each room which comes on if it gets too cold. Bathroom also immaculate, plenty of hot water, adequate space. I chose this house specifically because it was advertised as having internet, in order to work, which is basicly not true. The owner who lives in the house opposite, has a connection but the box is in his house, so you cant plug into it, or use a wireless booster as the electrics are also on another line. We had sporadic wireless connection in the corner of the bedroom for a minute or two at a time, so this information is misleading. Equally, there is absolutely no phone signal there, even at the top of the road, so expect to be blissfully unavailable for a while. The house has a small patio at the front where you can sit in the morning in the full sun. Though the owners house looks onto the house only at the front, you don't really notice as the place is quiet, private and idyllic. There is no passing traffic at all, as the two houses and large plot sit in their own little valley. Children can run and play here in full safety. The back is a patio and drive area also great for a barby and totally private with only a field at the back. A nice private garden is also great at the side, to lounge about in. If you have kids or like watching films in the evening, I would suggest taking a portable dvd player as the tv has only french channels available. The living room is nice but the floor is very cold, as are the leather chairs. The heating works fine but the atmosphere in the living room lacked a bit of cosiness.
