This holiday complex lies at the heart of Valtenesi, nestled into the most enchanting surroundings, where an old Franciscan monastery once stood. The complex is located at the top of a hill, amongst green olive trees, and affords a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Garda and the typical surrounding localities.

This unique and privileged location makes it ideal for a relaxing holiday. All the Lake Garda attractions are nearby, and the most interesting cultural and historical destinations and largest Lake Garda leisure parks are within easy access. The area exudes an atmosphere of olden days and offers its guests an inviting holiday residence. The love of tradition is reflected in the care and dedication with which the Manestrini family runs the complex, preserving the valuable original architecture. Friendliness, courtesy and attention to detail accompany guests during their stay, making it a true and pleasant break.

Services

The holiday complex was created out of an old farmhouse and is surrounded by a large plot of land planted with olive trees. Our guests will find spots for reading quietly, meditating in absolute tranquillity, or for going on strolls through the olive grove. Guests can make use of the bar-restaurant, the panoramic terrace with a wonderful view of the lake, the swimming pool amidst the green olive trees, a large private parking space off site, and at a supplementary charge a convenient parking space on site. The holiday complex is open all year round.

Pool and park

The gem of the complex, the swimming pool, lies in the middle of the olive grove surrounding the holiday property: a real oasis of tranquillity where you can relax in peace and quiet. The sunbathing area is furnished with comfortable loungers and parasols. There are spots that are in the sun all day long, as well as shaded spots as a refuge from the sun. Do not miss the most beautiful moment, the sunset, when the sun is mellower than at midday. The large pool measures 10 x 20 metres. It is the ideal place to spend long afternoons relaxing and enjoying the lovely panorama. With plenty of space and no dangers, children can play safely and make friends with children from different countries. Over the years we have decided to extend the bathing season, so we open the swimming pool in April and close it at the end of October. As it is always in the sun, the water is pleasantly warm even in the months that are not very hot. From the swimming pool you can access the restaurant terrace directly, where you can enjoy Italian and international dishes. On summer evenings, which are pleasant owing to the typical light breeze in the area, you can also use the barbecue for wonderful outdoor dinners. The large surrounding park with olive trees is the ideal place for long, relaxing walks or for reading a good book.

Olive oil mill

Next to the main building there is the family-run oil mill, where an excellent cold-pressed olive oil (certified as DOP Garda Bresciano) is produced. Guided tours give you the opportunity to see how the oil is produced, and you can buy the typical products as gifts for your friends at home, or else to enjoy the typical aromas of Lake Garda in your own four walls.

Restaurant

Directly oppostie the swimming pool there is the restaurant with a wonderful view of the lake. The interior rooms have been created out of those that used to be monks’ cells. Following careful restoration, exposing the old stones of the vaulted ceiling, the rooms have been restored to their original splendour. The old monastery stood in this very place. The original layout of the rooms has remained unchanged, the rooms lead off a long stone corridor, exuding an evocative and also mystical atmosphere. The modestly and tastefully decorated rooms offer a serene and comfortable ambience. Guests can choose between the spacious inner hall, the characteristic wood and stone cloister and the wonderful terrace. The menu offers a wide choice of international cuisine, as well as a range of specialities from the culinary tradition of Brescia. You can enjoy tasty dishes, prepared with typical products from around Lake Garda, such as fish, meat and cheese. All of this is seasoned with the cold-pressed olive oil DOP Garda Bresciano made in the Manestrini family’s oil mill. You can try it together with the meals on offer, or with a warm bruschetta. There is also a special children’s menu. However, if they can no longer sit still, they can run around freely in the garden. The property is open all year round. Breakfast and half board are available. On request, you can book the halls for private parties, family gatherings or working breakfasts.

Surroundings

Owing to its convenient location, it is easy to get from the holiday complex to the most interesting art cities in northern Italy and all the large leisure parks at Lake Garda. The surroundings are also ideal for outdoor sports enthusiasts, such as hiking and mountain biking, golf and sailing. Just 10km from the Milan-Venice motorway exit and just 3km from the lake, it is an ideal base for the whole family, embedded into nature and providing plenty of space and amenities to ensure that your stay is a real holiday.
