Unusual holiday apartments with creative interiors on a hospitable farm

From the rolling hills that surround the old town of Dogliani you can see this former farm. The old farmhouse has had a facelift and now awaits its guest with a young, modern look. Even so, it is rich in history, as is the land that it lies on.

At the heart of the Langhe Albesi, this country house offers its guest a hospitable and relaxed environment. The house is surrounded by the valuable grape vines from which the Dogliani DOCG wine is made. It offers two large apartments and two studio apartments. The accommodation is ideal for a family holiday with children, as well as for couples and for walking and cycling enthusiasts, and holiday-makers seeking an oasis of peace and tranquillity. The accommodation also has plenty to offer children, with table football, swings, various games and a children’s playground.

The farmhouse allows you to relax in nature, just a few minutes from the historic centre of the village. In the village you can find shops and stalls offering organic and eco-friendly products. The owners also hold this philosophy.

The farmhouse is surrounded by quiet green areas, where you can read a good book in the shade of a fruit tree or the pergola, or sunbathe on the lawn. Walkers can stroll through the park around the house to the forest that borders the site. The property offers an impressive all-round panorama, stretching from the surrounding hills to Monviso. The farm is a convenient base for cycling enthusiasts, as it is near the road that connects Langhe Alba and the hills that lead down to the sea. It is a very popular route, also for motorcyclists.

Beautiful Holiday Apartment in Dogliani with Common Pool

This apartment provides a living room with a fully-equipped kitchen unit with a gas stove and electric oven. The sleeping area is furnished with a double bed. The modern bathroom has a shower, hairdryer, natural soaps, shampoo and shower gel. Tea towels, hand towels and bedlinen are included.

There is a shared laundry room on the ground floor with a washing machine. You can borrow two bicycles free of charge.

    “Die Ferienwohnung für 4 Personen war sehr schön, der fehlende Fernseher wurde zu keiner Zeit vermisst. Die Innenausstattung war einfach, sehr sauber und es fehlte an nichts. Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und auskunftsbereit (Wanderungen, Restaurants, Sehenswürdigkeiten). Neben dem herzlichen Empfang erhielten wir als Willkommensgruß einige selbst hergestellte Produkte wie Wein, Marmelade, Kuchen und Saft. Auf der großen Sonnenterrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf Dogliani und die Weinberge der Langhe. Die Zufahrt zur Casa Matilda ist für Neuankömmling nur schwer erkennbar (trotz Navi!). Wie hatten eine sehr schöne und erholsame Urlaubszeit in der Casa Matilda.”

    “Het appartement was prima: schoon, ruim genoeg voor twee personen, mooi ingericht en goed uitgerust (keuken). Er is geen TV, maar die hebben we niet gemist. De eigenaren zijn heel aardig en zeer behulpzaam. Ze spreken goed Engels. We kregen perfecte tips voor wandelingen en restaurants. Ook het welkom was allerhartelijkst. Wijn, zelfgemaakte marmelade en zelfgebakken taart. Dus een aanrader. Top! Het appartement ligt op loopafstand via een smal paadje van Dogliani. Dit is een klein leuk stadje met winkeltjes, supermarkt en terrasjes.”
