This ancient property lies where the Sorrento peninsula and the Amalfi coast meet, at an altitude of about 300 metres. It has three holiday apartments for rent. It belongs to the charming village of Sant’Agata sui due Golfi, which is about a kilometre away.

It is an old farmhouse from the 18th century which was recently renovated. The historic building houses three independent apartments with their own separate entrances. The garden and all the rooms afford an open sea view of the Gulf of Salerno.

The house is surrounded by a garden of around 5000m2 with plants, vegetable gardens, olive groves, vineyards and lawns that invite you to sunbathe. You can find shady spots under the pergolas that are typical of the Sorrento peninsula. In the garden, about 200 metres from the house, there is a shared pool. The way there leads past vegetable gardens and a rose bed. By the pool there are sun loungers, tables and deckchairs. All guests can also use the garden with a table and chairs. There are parking spaces on site. Access to the fenced property is via a gate.

Owing to its location in the countryside, but nevertheless well connected, the farmhouse is the ideal place for a holiday with a balanced mixture of culture, tradition, relaxation and exploration of new and old aromas. The accommodation is perfect for a romantic holiday for two, or for a trip with friends, or for a quiet holiday with your children. In the main building you can still see the old mill and the oil press, with which olive oil was produced in the past. The rooms where wine was produced and a small collection of farming tools are also still there. There is an organic restaurant about 200 metres away, where a breakfast buffet or dinners can be booked on request at a supplementary cost. Wireless Internet access is available in all the apartments and in the communal garden.

It is a five-minute walk along a private path to the village of Torca, where you can find all essential grocery shops. The nearest beaches are Marina del Cantone / Nerano (6 km), Cala di Puolo (7 km), Baia di Ieranto (marine reserve/ 5 km).

The property is a good starting point for those who love walks in touch with nature. In the immediate vicinity there is access to the walking trail to Baia di Crapolla. Other hiking trails, such as the Sentiero degli Dei (Trail of the Gods) are within easy access and are clearly waymarked.

700 metres away there is a bus stop with connections wot Sant’Agata sui due Golfi, and 300 metres away there is another with connections to Torca. Even so, it is recommended to travel around by car. The last stretch of the access road is very winding.

Sorrento is 7km away, Positano 10km, and the ruins of Pompeii 23km. The house benefits from a convenient location near the major sights and archaeological sites in the area. Paestum and its temples 100 km away is suitable for a day trip.

Holiday apartment on two floors

The apartment is accessed via the beautiful terrace facing south-east with a view of the open sea of the Amalfi coast. The spacious apartment is spread across two floors. It comprises two bedrooms with double beds, each with their own bathroom with a shower, and a large living room with a kitchen unit. It also has a dining table and a sofa bed that converts into two single beds. All the rooms have sea views. The apartment is accessed via stairs with 15 steps.

The private terrace affords a sea view. There is also a balcony.

    “die Ferienwohnung war - wie erwartet, das heißt > sie entsprach sehr genau der Objektbeschreibung! Das ist sehr erfreulich ;-) Die Wohnung war recht sauber und wir haben uns während unseres Aufenhaltes hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr angenehm war auch die Korrespondens mit der Wohnungsbesitzerin. Sie war immer erreichbar und gab uns (in Deutsch) viele hilfreiche Informationen zum Haus und der Umgebung. Traumhafter Meerblick!”

    “Wir haben in dem Apartment Li Galli eine sehr schöne Zeit verbracht. Alle Zimmer sind groß und haben einen wunderschönen Blick auf das offene Meer. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet. Man kann urgemütlich auf der Terrasse frühstücken oder hoch über dem Meer einen Wein genießen. Wir hatten Vollmond, und dass ist von der Wohnung aus ein Spektakel. Der riesige wilde Garten ist sehr schön, man ist im direkten Kontakt mit der Natur und die Kinder waren beschäftigt. Die wichtigsten Lebensmittel kann man um die Ecke in einem kleinen Laden einkaufen, in 5 Minuten über einen Fußweg ins Dorf, ein richtiges italienisches Dorf ohne Touristen. Auch ein Bio-Restaurant ist um die Ecke, super lecker und die Preise ganz OK. Der Pool ist zwar 200 m entfernt von der Wohnung, aber man läuft dahin sehr angenehm durch die Gärten mit Olivenbäumen und kann dort mitten im Grünen relaxen.
    Nachteil: aufgrund der Lage hoch über dem Meer braucht man unbedingt ein Auto, um die Strände oder die Ruinen von Pompei und Herculaneum bequem zu erreichen; mit ÖPNV ist alles extrem umständlich bzw. gar nicht machbar.”
