“Most of the towns are really nice situated, offer plenty of shops, boutiques, and good food. In the main town Hvar and Stari Grad are super markets, DM etc. Should visit the market place in Hvar for fresh fruit, and shark is really lovely to eat. It is a very tourist type of island but not a lot of attractions, mainly the beaches are nice, and good resturants. And living there is not expensive for eating out and cigarettes or petrol, and drinks. And it is very warm, it only rained there once on the first night. It is also very much an island for sailing boats which is really the main attraction. But also very quite there and restful. Not many flowers on the island, mainly bushes and olive trees, but it is like it is, the island has its own feeling and beauty in itsself one either likes it or does not, we liked the island, nice for a holiday but wouldn´t want to live there.”
