    “Candelaria ist im Kern ein historisch gewachsener Ort, mit auch neueren Wohngebieten (Einheimische) und in den Randgebieten Ferienwohnungen. Wir haben dort hauptsächlich Spanier bzw. Tinerfenos mitbekommen. Verhältnismässig wenig Touristen und nicht zu vergleichen mit den Touristengebieten im Süden Teneriffas.

    Kulturhistorisch interessante Basilika,
    Ermita mit Kapelle in einer Höhle,
    funktionierender Fischerhafen,
    intakte, gewachsene Infrastruktur ...
    Kneipen, Restaurants und Lebensmittelgeschäfte mit Einheimischen-Preisniveau!

    Gute Busverbindungen, wenn man etwas erleben möchte!”

    “Candelaria ist eine nette kleine Stadt am Meer, ca. 15km westlich von Santa Cruz, mit guten Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Es gibt auch einige empfehlenswerte Lokale am Meer sowie diverse Tapas Bars. Die Dulceria neben dem Corte Ingles in Punta Larga (Teil von Candelaria) ist ein Traum. Es ist natürlich nicht vergleichbar mit den touristischen Zentren im Westen, aber gerade deshalb haben wir uns hier wohlgefühlt. Auch das Preisniveau ist spürbar niedriger.
    Der Ort ist über die TF1 in 30' vom Flughafen TFS mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Außerdem fährt man von hier in ca. 30' bis 1h zu dem meisten Wanderungen im Anaga Gebirge. Es gibt auch viele öffentliche Verkehrsmittel, die wir allerdings nicht genutzt habe, da wir einen Mietwagen hatten. Für das Auto hat sich auch immer einen Parkplatz gefunden.”

    “Sehr empfehlenswerter, ruhiger Ort, wenn man außerhalb der Touristenströme unterwegs sein möchte! Tolles Wetter, im Ort gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (von der Wohnung aus allerdings wohl nur mit dem Auto erreichbar), unserer Meinung nach 'typischer spanisch' als viele andere Ecken der Insel...”
