    “Karby selbst ist ein ruhiger Ort mit einem kleinen Gemischtwarenladen (nicht ganz preisgünstig) und einer Bäckerei. Die Verkäufer(innen) dort waren alle sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Sie gaben auch gerne mal Ausflugstipps. Des Weiteren gibt es das Gasthaus Nüser, welches Fisch u.a. Köstlichkeiten auf der Speisekarte hat. Auch eine Sparkasse ist vorhanden und ganz in der Nähe des Hauses ein großer Spielplatz. Von Karby aus ist man gleich in Schönhagen am Strand und der nächstgrößere Ort Kappeln mit seiner besonderen Schlei-Brücke, die sich 1x/Stunde öffnet ist nur ca. 10 Min. mit dem Auto von Karby entfernt. Von dort aus sind Schifffahrten möglich. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub.”

    “Karby ist ein netter, kleiner Ort mit guter Radweganbindung zur Schlei (Arnis 2km) und zum Ostsee-Strand in Schönhagen (5 Kilometer) sowie nach Kappeln (5km). Zwei Bäcker, ein kleiner Lebensmittelmarkt und eine Landarzt-Praxis sind um die Ecke. Wer Ruhe liebt, ist hier richtig.Räder haben wir beim Fahrrad Schmidt in Kappeln gemietet, der sie zum Haus geliefert und wieder abgeholt hat. Sehr empfehlenswert.”
