    “Im Ort befindet sich ein Bäcker und nebenan ein Geschäft mit Fleischtheke und nettem Personal. Die Pizzeria unten im Haus öffnete während unseres Aufenthaltes am 30.06. In der nahegelegenen Moorhütte kann man auch gut essen, draußen holt man sein Essen und Trinken aber selbst. Viele Reastaurants Oder Ausgehmöglichkeiten bietet der Ort sonst nicht. Für Ausflüge ist die Lage aber ideal. Entweder startet man Richtung Bad Hindelang für dortige Ausfüge/Wanderungen o.ä. (Oberstdorf, Immenstadt i.A.) oder Richtung Österreich (Tannheimer Tal mit vielen Möglichkeiten) mit den Zielen der Schlösser (Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau oder Linderhof) oder anderen Sehenswürdigkeiten (Zugspitze, Oberammergau, Garmisch-Patenkirchen ...) in weniger als 100km Entfernung.”
