Modern and comfortably furnished holiday house with an interior courtyard

This detached single-family house was completely refurbished in 2016 and is within a residential estate on Friedrichstrasse. The very quiet cobbled road is about a five to seven-minute walk from the harbour and a maximum of ten minutes from the lovely Wolgast old town with an impressive church visible from afar. The house is on a quiet side street that is well lit at night. All the residents pay attention to maintaining the areas of greenery along the street.

A charmingly designed interior courtyard awaits you outside with a sitting corner, accessed through a secondary entrance door that is shared. There are always plenty of free public parking spaces on the adjoining road. Pets are not allowed.

The house provides around 80m² of living space for a maximum of four people. The lower floor has a hallway with stairs to the upper floor, a fully-equipped kitchen open towards the adjoining dining room, and a living room with a sofa bed 120cm wide and a metal day bed 90cm wide. On the second floor you can find a fully-equipped bathroom with a shower and bath, a bedroom with a double bed (160cm wide) and an adjoining children’s room with a single bed (80cm wide). On arrival the beds are already made. Hand and bath towels are provided. If further towels are needed, just help yourselves. The kitchen is equipped with a four-flame ceramic hob, a convection oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, egg boiler, pads coffee machine, electric espresso maker, crockery and cutlery for six people. There is deliberately no Wi-Fi, so you can really relax and switch off. If the weather is not very inviting, there is a TV (sat.), a play station, a DVD player and a collection of DVDs for all ages, reading material in the form of novels, thrillers and children’s books, and a collection of games for all ages.

The nearest supermarket is only a five-minute walk away and is even open on Sundays during the season. You can walk to three hairdressers and cosmetic studios. Children will enjoy nearby Wolgast animal park. Most restaurants, cafes and snack bars are within easy walking distance. The nearby bus stop is just 500 metres away. The Wolgast train station is about a 10-minute walk away. The “Wolgast Hafen” stop for the Usedom Bäderbahn railway is a maximum of an 8-minute walk from the house. You can hire the popular island bikes there for a cycle tour. The Usedom Bäderbahn takes you conveniently to the beautiful beaches on Usedom. The Baltic Sea town Trassenheide is only about 10km away, so you can also cycle there. There is a beach by the Peenestrom in Wolgast where you can take a refreshing dip.

With a ceiling height of 2 to 2.20 metres, the house evokes the time and circumstances of when it was built around 1900. For access to the beaches on the island Usedom, a daily tourist tax is payable at the machines by the beaches or in the respective tourist information offices. There is no tax payable for the town Wolgast. The house is non-smoking, including on the site. On arrival you will find a little welcome gift from the owners, for a good start to your holiday.

    “Een 1 woord prachtig. Positiv: Leuk huisje klein maar erg leuk ingericht. De inrichting had als thema de zee.
    Het was er erg schoon en het huisje staat dicht bij het centrum. Negativ: Helaas. Konden wij geen tv zenders ontvangen maar er waren heel veel dvd met films die we konden bekijken.”

    “Günstig und Gut, Positiv: Die Lage des Objektes ist auch an Wochentagen sehr ruhig,man kann super entspannen , auch sehr günstig für alle anderen Aktivitäten im Urlaub.Einfach mit wenig Luxus gute Unterkunft zum Entspannen. Negativ: Wer unbedingt W-LAN braucht,würde bewusst darauf verzichtet.Uns hat es nicht sehr beeinträchtigt.”

    “Die Ausstattung und Sauberkeit des Hauses lassen nicht zu wünschen übrig. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll und man hat alles was man braucht. Auch der Garten kann genutzt werden und ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Fernsehen, Spielkonsole, Internet sind verfügbar, sofern man es denn benötigt. Diverse Gesellschaftsspiele und Bücher versüßen die Abendstunden oder verregnete Tage.
    Die Lage des Hauses ist gut, die Wolgaster Innenstadt mit Restaurants und Einkaufmöglichkeiten sowie Bahnstationen zur Fahrt auf "die Insel" sind in nur wenigen Minuten fußläufig erreichbar.
    Die Vermieter sind sehr freundliche und sympathische Menschen, dich sich größte Mühe geben, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die Schlüsselübergabe und jeder Kontakt waren unkompliziert und freundlich.
    Aufgrund eines Wasserschadens wenige Tage vor unserer Anreise wurde sogar Preis reduziert. Die Folgen des Wasserschadens waren für uns zum Glück kaum spürbar. Das Entgegenkommen war aber mehr als vorbildlich.
    Fazit: Das Ferienhaus ist mit dem Bewusstsein dass man sich auf dem Festland befindet, aber eine tolle Anbindung zur Insel hat, absolut empfehlenswert und jeden Euro des Mietpreises wert. Man bekommt was man erwartet und sogar ein bisschen mehr. Liebe Frau Neumann, noch einmal vielen Dank für den schönen und entspannenden Aufenthalt!”
